Details of Estimates INCREASED VALUATIONS The Lower Hutt Borough Council has approved of the estimates for the financial vear 1931-32, and has struck its consolidated rate of 15.75 pence in the £1 on a valuation of £1,776,000, against a valuation last year of £1,080,000. The amount estimated to be produced is £40,9<>0, against £47,250. The amount required in the general account is £22,834, secured by a general rate of 3 63-740 pence in £l. A separate account of £6419 is secured on a rate of 042-740 of a penny in £l. Interests accounts totalling £20,61)7 arc secured by a rate of 2 590-740 -pence in £l. Compared with last year there is an Increase of £4OOO in tlie general account, a decrease of £413 in the. separate accounts,, and of £BB3 in the interest accounts, a total increase in all accounts of £2701. In the following figures relating to receipts and expenditure, actual amounts received and expended in 1930-31 are given in parentheses. General Account.
