Results and Fixtures siiandon Club.—The following will xepre- ’ sent Shandon in an inter-club match against Paekakariki, at Shandon, next Saturday afternoon Bowring, Feist, Hunter, Clapcott, Stuckey, Dens, Bowen, Burke, Johansen, Jeffery, McCarthy, Bishop, Barnett, Ardell, Poole, Lauchlan, Greagcr, Stubberfleld, McCarroll, Melvin, Fergle, Runciman, Swan,’Reid, and Ward.i The ten players first-named compete for the Watt Cup. The medal handicap played last week-end resulted in a win for F. R. Desmond, whoso card read 91—20—71. IL McCarroll came next with ST—W—73, followed by P. Burke, 88-112—74. In the play-off for the June medal, C. T. Browne, 102—18—84, beat S. J. Lavelle, 111—24—87. In a four-ball, best ball competition last Saturday, A. Barnett (12) and E. McCarroll (111; and P- Burke (9) and F. Desmond (15) tied with 1 up. During the week-end the Atlantic Union Oil Company's house golf party played a qualifying round for the Richardson Cup. IVaiwotu Club.—/The best cards handpd In for the weekly ball competition-(stroke) of the Waiwebu Golf Club were as follow:— W. T. Wilson, 91—18—73; I. V. D-uncan, 87—11—70; J. A. McKay, 98—23—76; T. P. Davis, 91—14 — 77; T. J. Harvey, 95—18— 77; G. Hogg. 89—11—78; and A. Alston,97—15—79. Wilson was disqualified on a technicality, and Duncan and McKay will play off. The semi-finals of the Atkins Cup resulted: Dunean (13) beat Wallace (4) 1 up, and McKay 24 boat Mullan (16) 1 up. The final will be played next weekend over 36 holes. In the Pulley Cup semifinals Maitland (IS) boat Wilson 3 up. The winner of the Davis and Burns match , will meet Maitland in the final over 36 holes, Last year also Maitland reached the final, and was narrowly defeated by J. Gilbertson. The first round of the R. C.
