GROUND IMPROVEMENTS
Hutt Valley High School Excellent work is being done in the Hutt Valley .High School grounds by unemployed relief workers. For several weeks a number have been engaged levelling a lower ground which, when completed, will give' the school another fullsized football .ground, and a ’ smaller practice ground. For the summer months there will be’ room on the ground for two cricket pitches, and‘perhaps a third. Members of the Board of Governors inspected the ground on Saturday, and expressed themselves as very satisfied with the work that .is being done. They de-’ cided, on 1 the recommendatiq/ of the principal, Mr. H. P. Kidson, (6 have belts of trees planted round the ground as a protection from winds.
