New Observation Station

As part of the Government scheme of research into the origin of earthquakes, it is likely that what is known as a service observation station will be established in New Plymouth, Dr. C. E. Adams, Government Astronomer and Seismologist, visited New Plymouth last week to investigate the possibility of securing a suitable building for the installation of a seismograph. Tn an interview Dr. Adams said that several stations were doing good work at present. New Plymouth afforded the most westerly situation for a station to work in conjunction with those at Wellington and Takaksu
