Mr. Morton Re-elected For 21st. Time SERVICE RECOGNISED Dominion Special Service. New Plymouth, June 25. A presentation of a handsome grandfather chiming clock was made this afternoon to Arthur Morton, president of the National Dairy Association, by the directors and staff of the association, in recognition of hits long association with the organisation. Mr. Morton has served the association aa director for 26 years, and at the annual meeting yesterday morning he was elected president for the twenty-first time. In asking Mr. Morton's acceptance of the gift, the Hon. J. B. Gow, of Opotiki. said that Mr. Morton had served the association during the periods of the greatest developments in the history of the industry. He had guided the association with wisdom, courage and tact, and all appreciated the magnificent work he had done. Cheers were then given for Mr. Morton. In a brief reply, Mr. Morton said he would treasure the gift as long as he lived, as his family would after him. Practically all his service to the dairy industry had been in the co-operative movement.
