AIRWOMEN KILLED
Fire Occurs After Crash BOTH BURNED TO DEATH (Rec. June 19, 8 p.m.) London, June 19. ’ Two airwomen were burned to death near the Hatfield De Haviland Flying School aerodrome. The machine crashed and 'immediately took fire, the bodies of both women being incinerated. One was Miss O’Brien, daughter of Sir Timothy O’Brien, and one of the best-known airwomen in Britain. She lost a leg in an air smash in 1928, but afterwards again qualified as a pilot.
