Heavy Over-expenditure According to a statement made yesterday by Mr. G. Petherick, chairman of the Social Welfare Committee of the Wellington Hospital Board, the total expenditure of the committee for the past month was over £7OOO. The authorised by the Government was £2750, so that there has been an over-expenditure of nearly £4250, mostly on unemployment cases. The outgoing for the past four weeks equalled the total for the previous eight weeks, and Mr. Petherick said that unless some further monetary provision was made, or other help given, the board would be in dire straits before long in respect to funds tor this class of relief,
