INSURANCE TRANSFER
Norwich Union Manager Cable advice has been received from the head office at Norwich of the appointment of Mr. Colin J. Gray as Christchurch manager of the Norwich Union Fire Insurance Society, Ltd., upon the retirement of Mr. C. W. Tanner on July 31 next. Mr. Gray, who is at present manager for Rowley, Gill, Hobbs and Glen, attorneys of the Norwich Union Fire Insurance Society, Ltd., at Wellington, served with the Yorkshire Insurance Company, Ltd., at Dunedin, and the United Insurance Co., Ltd., at Christchurch. He joined the Norwich Union at the time of the formation of the Phoenix Group in 1924, when Mr. W. E. A. Gill was appointed manager for New Zealand. Mr. Gray is chairman of the Wellington Fire and Accident Underwriters' Association, nnd has been n member of the committee for the past five years. Mr Tanner has been associated with Hie society in Australia nnd New Zealand for the past 42 years.
