Total Now Over 40,000 MANY MEN PLACED Past Week’s Registrations The total number of unemployed registered in New Zealand during the week ended May 25 was 40,507, as compared with 39,553 for the previous week, according to figures supplied by the Minister of Labour, Hon. S. G. Smith.
