STORM TO SUNSHINE
A Variable Week-end Saturday in Wellington was wet and squally, with drenching rain showers. The wind was strong from the north. Yesterday the weather cleared and there was bright sunshine from mid-forenoon. The wind was still northerly. The evening was mild and calm. The weather at Auckland was unsettled during the week-end. On Saturday a moderate breeze was blowing from the north and light rain was falling almost continually. Sunday was fine but dull and cloudy, the wind having changed to the south-west. The weather in Christchurch over the week-end was fine, but a nor’-wester of almost gale force on Saturday made conditions unpleasant. The weather was sunny and warm in Dunedin on Saturday, with a strong wind from the north-east. The barometer fell quickly during the day, but rose on Saturday night. Conditions yesterday were line, with th® wind fcom the gcjith-Keet.
