DIAMOND ROBBERY
Rich South African Haul
£53,000 FROM MAILBAG (Rec. May 21, 9 p.m.) Cape Town, May 21. Last month's diamond production from a rich workings named the Kleinze in Namaqualand, valued at £53,000 was brought by an escort of police to Springbok on Tuesday. It was registered at the post office and motored to tlie railhead at Bitterfontein —a village of 30 residents. During the night the mailbag' was cut and the diamonds were stolen.
