Panama Hotel Totally Destroyed.—The Panama Hotel, a wooden building, at the corner of Vivian and Taranaki Streets, Wellington, was totally destroyed by fire early yesterday morning. The licensee, Mr. Harry Hyde, died in hospital yesterday afternoon from shock following burns, and five others are in hospital suffering from the effects of burns.
