NEW YORK CARGO

Winton at Auckland

Running under charter to the A. & A. Line, the motor-ship Winton reached Auckland at noon yesterday from New York. She is to leave there again to-day for Wellington to continue discharge, and is due here on Sunday. The Winton will leave here again next Tuesday for Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge, thence to Sydney to load a cargo of wheat for England or the Continent. REMUERA’S DEPARTURE. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Remuera is scheduled to clear Auckland at daybreak to-morrow for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. PORT HUNTER SAILS. Having completed her homeward loading, the C. and D. Line steamer Port Hunter left Wellington yesterday afternoon for Hook of Holland and Loudon, via the Panama Canal. MARAMA FOR SYDNEY. The Union Company’s Marama is timed to leave Wellington at 3 p.m. to-day for Sydney,. where she is due next Tuesday morning. < DEVON’S FINAL DATE. The Federal Company advise that the Devon arrived at Auckland late yesterday from Opua for further loading. She is now to leave Auckland on Monday for Wellington to fill up, is due here next Wednesday, and is scheduled to clear this port finally at daybreak on May 30 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow, via Montevideo. MESS TABLE GOSSIP. Captain L. Larsen, who has been attending the Inquiry into the wreck of the Progress, has resumed command of the Kuku, and Mr. J. Howlck has reverted to mate. Mr. H. Payne, acting-mate, has signed off the vessel. PORT WELLINGTON LEAVES PORT KEMBLA. The C. and D. Line has received cabled advice that the Port Wellington left Port Kembla on Wednesday for New Plymouth, where she is due on Sunday to commence her homeward loading. She will subsequently complete at Wanganui and Wellington, is due here on June 1, and is scheduled to clear this port finally on June 4 for London, via Cape Horn.;

THE MAUNGANUI. The Union Company’s R.M.S. Maunganul, from Sydney and Wellington, is due at Rarotonga to-morrow, at Papeete on May 25, and at San Francisco on June 5.

THE NARBADA. The Union Company’s Narbada is to leave Port Chalmers at 7 a.m. to-day for Sydney, where she will dock for overhaul and survey. She will leave Sydney again about June 8 for Newcastle to load coal for Java thence to Calcutta, where she will take the July-August loading for New Zealand ports.

THE MAKURA. The Union Company’s R.M.S. Makura, from San Francisco, 13 due at Papeete tomorrow, at Rarotonga on May 26, and at Wellington on June 1. She will leave here again the following day for Sydney.

THE KARETU. The Union Company advises that the Karetu, from Newcastle and Sydney, is to leave Levuka to-morrow for Auckland where she is due next Thursday.
