Six New Zealanders were presented at Court by Lady Wiiford. They were: Mrs. Leleand Snell, Misses Patricia Allen, Nancy Beere (Wellington), Valerie Beere (Wellington), Kathleen Cameron, Esmte A’Court, Isabelle Lorrigan, Sybil Nathan (Wellington), and Marie Moffatt, otherwise Te Kuhurangi Mawhete, granddaughter of the Chieftainess Ereni Te Aweawe.
