The Right Hon. G. W. Forbes, Prime Minister, will return to Wellington this morning after spending several days at his home in Cheviot.
The Hon. S. (£ Smith, Minister of Labour, . will return -to Wellington from New Plymouth this morning.'
The Hon. R. Masters. Minister without portfolio, will return to Wellington from Stratford this evening.
The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, returned to Wellington from Auckland yesterday.
The Hon. V. H. Reed, M.L.C., left for the north by the Limited express last evening. Sir Edwin Mitchelson, M.L.C., who underwent an operation last week, is progressing favourably. Colonel B. Bull, Canada, is staying at the Royal Oak Hotel. Mr. P, L. Brady, who has been visiting Australia, returned to Wellington yesterday. Mr. B. Potton has been elected assistant secretary of the Congregational Men’s League. Mr. Beaumont Smith, managing-direc-tor of J. C. Williamson Films (N.Z.), Ltd., arrived in Wellington by the Limited express yesterday.
Mr. A. C. Aubrey, Sydney; .Mr. F. Christenson, Dunedin: Mr. C. Jacques, Nelson; Mr. H. H. Stubbs and Mr. O. R. Kresse, Christchurch, are at the Hotel St. George. Mr. R. K. Ireland. Oamaru; Mr. A. W. Ward, Hamilton; Mr. E. Griffiths, New Plymouth ; Mr. J. Breeds, Pahiatua; and Mr. T. A. Roberts, Auckland, are at the Royal Oak Hotel. Mr. M. Godley has arrived.-at Fiji to take up the position of aide-de-camp to the Governor, Sir Murchison Fletcher. Mr. Godley was. formerly in the Civil Service of British Columbia and East Africa. ‘ Mr. C. J. McGibbin, Mr. H. E. West, Mr. C. T. Cook, and Mr. H. C. F. Stevens, Christchurch; Mr. E. V. Lysons, Hawera; Mr. E. J. W. Ferguson, New Plymouth ; Mr. T. S. Withers, and Mr. L. Lichtenstein, Auckland, are at the Grand Hotel. i
The Rev. Arthur Liversedge and Mrs. Liversedge, late of the Addington Methodist Circuit, arrived by the Maunganui on Tuesday. They arc returning from an extended stay in England, having travelled to Sydney by the Esperance Bay. Mr. Liversedge will take up his work in the Thames circuit next Sunday. The Rev. J. Ernest Parsons, accompanied by his wife and daughter, arrived in Wellington by the Maunganui on Tuesday. After a year’s absence in the Old Country Mr. Parsons will recommence his work at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Palmerston North, on Sunday next. While in England Mr. Parsons arranged for the publication of a new volume of his talks aud stories for children.
