During May, June and July last year wireless licenses were issued in Britain at the rate of 20,000 a month. By July 31 the number of licences had increased by more than 162.000 since the beginning of the year, when the 3,000.000 mark was reached. In addition to these licences, which are paid for, there are also the free, ones granted to blind listeners. They number over 17,000.
