Whittaker, president of the Civic Ix L a s ue ’ presided. The speakers were accorded a most attentive hearing. (! Ratepayers and Labour candidate also held numerous meetings m the city and Luckie, Independent candidate for the mayoralty, addressed a well.l blended meeting of electors at St. Lukes Wadestown, last evening. , Mr. Herbert Baillie was in the chair. , ■ Mr Luckie’s address followed the lines of..'previous speeches, and at its conclusion I'he was accorded a, hearty votei of thanks and confidence, which was carried unanimously. _
