£2158 MISSING

Public Works Wages

SAFE UNLOCKED

Skeleton Keys Used

By Telegraph—Press Association.

Rotorua, May 5.

Burglars opened the office safe at the Public Works camp at Murupara last night, stealing £2158 wages money. An official who was sleeping in a nearby room behind a locked door with a further £l7B heard no suspicious noises during the night, but this morning he found the office door open, the safe unlocked, and the money gone. Apparently skeleton keys were used.
