CRICKETERS ARRIVE
New Zealanders All Well GREETINGS IN ENGLAND London, April 30. The New Zealand cricketers arrived in London this evening. All members of the team are fit and well and eager to commence practice. Cromb has recovered from his operation. The team, arriving by the Rangltata, were met at Southampton by Mr. Swan, the Cricket Council’s representative, Harold Gilligan, and other cricketers. They motored to London, and were met by Sir Kynaston Studd, president of the M.C.0.; Mr. W. Findlay, secretary; and Mr. H. D. G. Leveson-Gower.. . To-morrow, the team will be the guests of the’ British Sportsmen's Club at a luncheon at the Savoy Hotel. They will practise at Lord’s in the afternoon.
A. P. F. Chapman and Harold Gilligan are playing for the Maori Cricket Clnb in the practice match on Monday. The New Zealanders are staying at the Great Central Hotel, Marylebone, T. C. captain, interviewed, said that the team was absolutely fit and anxious to practise after its long voyage. The members anticipated a successful tour.
