GOOD FISHING

Taupo and Rotorua Anglers fishing with the fly and trolling parties with the spoon have had most successful sport . during the past several days on Lake Taupo and Lake Rotorua. ‘ Bagging 5. and <sJib trout seems to have been a fairly general catch for the average angler. The fishing season at Taupo and Rotorua ends on May 31. and according to reports sent to the Hon. P. A. de la I’errelle by the conservator of fish and game, “runs" of fish will continue during next month and sportsmen should register even greater catches than in file past. “The pleasing feature,” states the conservator, “is the splendid condition of the trout landed. Right throughout the fisheries it can be said that fine specimens have been taken on the fly and by trolling, and any fisherman coming to these waters can be guaranteed good sport.”
