ESPERANTO CLUB
The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club took place last Tuesday night in the Y.M.C.A., Mr. E. C. Jack presiding. Tuition classes occupied the first portion of the evening, after which an enjoyable programme was presented. r _ secretary of the New Zealand Esperanto Association, spoke in Esperanto on the activities of the association, and of the recent Esperanto Congress, which had t’aken place in Auckland. Mr. L. E. Dust gave a lecture in the international language on “Mauna Loa—La Vulkano de Hawaii,” with explanatory diagrams on the blackboard. Mr. Joseph contributed an address in Esperanto on La Historia Urbo de Budapesto.” The concluding items was an improvised comedy in Esperanto entitled “La Valora ' iolono, which was presented by Mr. Vernon Leek, Mr. Joseph Major, and Mr. B. Potts, the club secretary.
