VARSITY EXTRAVAGANZA
This year, in song, dance, and story, the Victoria University extravaganza tells ot how young Willtini Botts, the pride of bls father’s heart, sets out to see the world. The plaintive tale runs through the experiences of this youth, beset at the outset of his career by the snares of the city. He is tempted by Satan, led astray through feminine' wiles, but finally finds his way back to his own people a better and wiser man. A strong story, with just that streak of humour, which brings the tears to the eyes when pure pathos might fail. All is told with that directness and enthusiasm which has made such a success of the past ’Varsity shows.
