WORKERS’ EDUCATION

Class at Moera A lecture, under the auspices of the Workers’ Educational Association, was delivered to a large attendance by Mr. W. Dickinson, M.A., at Randwick Road School, Moera, recently. _ Mr. Dickinson spoke on the Laws of Distribution,” dealing mainly with rent in the economic sense, and real and nominal wages. In the course of the lecture he, stated that everyone who helped to place produce in the hands of the final consumer was as much a producer as the person who primarily started the production, and that middlemen, who were legitimate, could not be done without. Mr. Dickinson concluded >by drawing attention to the claim of the individual on society, and questioned if society had not raised a standard of life that was dangerous to the individual. The lecture will be continued next Tuesday, When the subject, “Profit and Interest” will be discussed.
