;; No. 5 Scheme in Operation The No. 5 unemployment scheme became operative again in the Hutt Valley yesterday. Labour Bureau ofiicers from Wellington, with the assistance of Ppst and Telegraph ofiicers, were,engaged in Petone and Lower Hutt re-registering the men ' who were unemployed. • The Lower'Hutt Post Office'was kept open between 7 and 9 o’clock last Friday night, when 300 incn were registered and allocated work for this week. The men registered yesterday and those who register to-morrow will be allocated to work later on in this week.
