TUNNELLER’S DEATH

Body Found in Gully On Saturday morning Michael Murray, A married man, aged 35, who was employed as a tunneller at Tawa Flat, was found dead in a gully about 80 yards from the road on Mr. Taylor's farm at Glenside. He had a wound in his throat. Mr. Murray, who was a returned soldier, and recently married, had been spending the evening with some friends at Glenside, and left them at 9 p.m. to catch the Tatahi Bay bus for Wellington. He . then showed no signs of being anything but his normal self. He had been employed as a tunneller for some years, and was a popular man, quiet aud level-headed.
