Train Travellers Startled ' NAPIER EXPRESS STOPPED Dominion Speciai Service Hastings, April 9. A thunderbolt which burst within a short distance of the Wellington-Napier mail train near Oringi, a small township between Dannevirke and Woodville, on Wednesday startled travellers on the train and caused sufficient concern for ’the train to be stopped for a few minutes. Travellers on the train state that a blue and orange coloured flash was noticed which terminated in a loud explosion when about three feet off the ground and about 20 yards away from the train. The experience was so startling and unusual flint those in the train were at first unable to explain what had happened. The guard stopped the train, but when it was found that nothing untoward had happened the interrupted journey was continued.
