ANZAC DAY
Parade and Services CEREMONY AT MEMORIAL Anzac Day services In the dty will be similar to those of last year. At 11 a.m. a service will be held at the Citizens’ Memorial, when the representatives of the schools, the Girl Guides, the Life-Saving Guards, and the Returned Soldiers’ Association will lay wreaths on the memorial. These will afterward be taken to the cemetery and placed on the soldiers’ graves. A service will also be held in the Town Hall at 2.45 p.m. for the next-of-kin. The returned soldiers, Imperial and Australian ex-service men, the South African veterans and the Legion of Frontiersmen will parade at the Basin Reserve at about 2.30 p.m. and will march through the streets to salute the memorial. A sacred concert, conducted by Mr. H. Temple White, will be held in the Town Hall In the evening. Speakers for the various functions have not yet been definitely arranged.
