Wool for Mattresses
Sir,—With regard to the proposed use of New Zealand wool for mattress filling, as a bedding manufacturer I would point out that almost every mattress maker in New Zealand has experimented with wool for this purpose without success. Should any of your corespondents be in a position to prove that wool can be so treated at a reasonable cost, as to ensure it against matting or felting.. I am confident that every manufacturer in New Zealand would gladly use it. Until such a process is discovered, wool as’ mattress filling is out of the question.—l am. ete., BEDDING MANUFACTURER. March 5. 1931.
