EXHIBITION RUNS

“Blue Bird” at Daytona SPEED TRIAL DELAYED Daytona, February 3. Poor visibility and a strong wind on Tuesday prevented Captain Malcolm Campbell from attempting a record trial with the Blue Bird on the beach. He contented himself with exhibition runs. One exhibition run clocked 194 miles an hour, but Campbell said that he attained 260 just before he entered the course. At that point, he said, the car slipped out of gear, and he was forced to coast over the measured miie in neutral. He plans to make an official attempt on Wednesday.
