Seal as Pet of Village Pond.—In the village pond at Wereham, Norfolk, thirty miles from the sea, lives “Billy,” a young seal, captured on a sandbank in the Wash a year ago. The zoo authorities were unable to find a home for him, but “Billy” is now quite at home, friendly with all the villagers and their fourfooted friends, the recipient of a daily ration of fish eked out with snacks, as shown in the picture. —Central Press, photo.
