Palmerston North, January 31. The Palmerston North City Council has collected to date 93 per cent, of the rates levied for the present financial year and if the present rate of payment is maintained it is expected that the amount outstanding at the end of the financial year will be comparatively small. The amount levied for the year was £81,425/9/9, and up to the present time the sum of £75,821/4/6 has been collect ed The amount outstanding is £5bU4 5/3.
