Cairo, January 26.

Professor Hassan has excavated the tomb of Queen Cha, who was queen in the third dynasty. The tomb consists of two chambers, one containing the sarcophagus, surmounted by a golden bejewelled crown, and the other filled with furniture, golden toilet articles, and alabaster statuettes.

Apparently the tomb belongs to the mother of Tarsoankh, whose body was discovered by Professor Hassan last year also in the mausoleum between the Pyramids and the Sphinx, which is described as "an underground city complete with roads and buildings.”
