Satisfactory Progress
Satisfaction was expressed at the last meeting of the Lower Hutt Borough Council at the 'improved position of the municipal library returns. The following comparative figures are for the month of December in 1930 and 1929, the 1929 figures being given in parentheses:— Number of books taken out, 2105 (1567) ; new books added, 48 ( —) ; new subscribers, 10 (7) ; members who withdrew. 7 (14) ; total number of subscribers, 337 (292).
