WEDDING
SEDDON—JENSEN. Lilies and roses were lavishly used, for the wedding of Miss Joyce Marjorie Jensen at St. Peter’s Church, GonviUe, Wanganui, on Saturday, December 27. George Leslie younger son of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Se’ddon, St. John’s Hill, Wanganui, was the bridegroom. ’ ' Miss Jensen, who is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Jensen, of Gonville, Wanganui, entered the church with her father and wore a gown of parchment satin beaute. The tight-ht-ting bodice was cut to a V both front and back, and a flared ankle-length skirt fell to the ground at the back. The sleeves were long and tight, and a large bow was placed on the left side of the frock. The tulle veil formed a train and was caught to the head with real orange blossoms. Crepe de chine shoes and a long pearl necklace were worn, and she carried’a bouquet of roses and maidenhair fern. The two bridesmaids, Misses Mary (May) Steel and Merle Jensen (sister of the bride), were gowned alike m woodland blue .crepe de chine, the long-fitting bodices were rucked in front and finished with tapes,"with posiesxm .one shoulder. The sleeves were tight-fitting, with- tiny bows, and the flared skirts dipped at the back The blue felt hats were edged with ■ crinoline and finished with bows of cire ribbon. Blue satin shoes 'ere worn and grey stockings' and gloves, and ’the bouquets were composed. of love-in-the-mist and asparagus fern. The service was fully choral, Mr. P. Mephan presiding at the organ. . The Rev. D. B. Malcolm was the officiating clergyman, and Messrs. A. Hunger and H. Hood, both of Wellington, supported the bridegroom. . , ' . . After the cerfemony a reception was held in the Masonic Hall, Gonville, where Mrs. Jensen received her guests wearing a black satin beaute model and black hat and carrying a bouquet of red roses and maidenhair fern, Mrs. F. G. Seddon (mother of the bridegroom) wore' floral georgette over powder blue,. With black lace straw hat, and carried a bouquet of blue delphiniums. When Mr. and Mrs. Seddon left for the north the latter, wore mist blue floral silk frock, blue flecked coat, and blue hat. Her stockings, gloves and bag were fjrdy.
