Miss M. Currie, Wanganui, was hostess recently at a bridge party given in honour of Miss P. Wall, and Miss Mason. Miss Mabel McKelvle, Bulls, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. J. H, Russell, St. Johns HUI, Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. A. Gill, and Misses Gill, are Wellington visitors to Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. J. Donald are Auckland visitors to Wanganui. Miss Sewell, Wellington, is visiting Wanganui. Miss T. Davidson, of Dunedin Training College, is visiting Wanganui. Miss J. Landels is the guest of Miss V. Haise, Marton. The Wanganui Girls’ College Is holding its end-of-year festivities, commencing with a pupils’ concert on Friday night. The swimming sports and display of work, to be seen on Saturday afternoon, is always a popular fixture. On Wednesday the 6th Form will present “Belinda.”, Miss Myers, Wanganui, is .visiting Palmerston North. Mr .and Mrs. Quince, who haye been vislt-
ing Toowoomba, Australia, are the guests of Mrs. Vaughan McDonald, Wanganui. Mrs. T. Blennerhassett has returned to Wanganui from a visit to Woodville. Mrs. J. C. Wickham and Miss Morton Jones, representing the Wanganui branch ot the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, have been deputed to wait on the Hon. W. A. Veitch, Minister of Railways, in reference to a proposed art union. Miss Graham, Wanganui, is on holiday in Taupo, prior to leaving for Wellington. There are now over 170 branches of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union. Mrs. C. Goldstone, of Hawke’s Bay, who has been holidaying in Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. S. Powdrell, St. John’s Hill, Wanganui. Miss J. Saunders, Hastings, is the guest of Mrs. Harold Lewis, Fordell, Wanganui. Miss M. Mowat, Wanganui River, is visiting Wanganui. The Marton District High School intends holding its school picnic on February 18, at a place to be named later. ,• Miss Peggy Lowes has returned to Eketahuna from a holiday spent iu Palmerston North. Miss Lorna Ferguson, of Wellington, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. E. Ferguson, of Palmerston North. Miss Peggy Bagnall, who has been spending her annual vacation in Palmerston North with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Bagnall, of Te Awe Awe Street, returns this morning to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Dldsbury, of Alfredton, have been visiting Palmerston North. Mr. and Mrs. H. Moss, and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Moss, of Wellington, were visitors to Palmerston North for the Moss-Wood-ward wedding. ,
