Shaw Buildings Opened '

, Wanganui, December 12. Many residents of Patea and district were present on Thursday afternoon at the opening of the Hun/er Shaw memorial buildings (Plunket roomsand library), Hunter Shaw children’s ward; at the Public Hospital, and the new courthouse by the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health. The ceremony was conducted on the porch of the memorial building and a brass tablet in the entrance hall was unveiled to the memory of the donor, the late Mr. Hunter Shaw. The Mayor, Mr. F. Ramsbottom, said that the citizens were proud of the fine buildings and the improvements at the domain weer also due to the estate.
