Bishop, of Queensland. , ,' .. The two Queenslanders m search of the tronhv this week are 11. Buchanan and L. Hale and in the contest for the Helmet there’ will also be W, Kilmister, A C. Wilkinson, C. Tonks. and M. B. Hanle, all of whom have proved worthy opponcuts for the Australians who have appeared here already this season. Buchanan and Hale have had many successes oil the cimler track, and just before leaving Brisbane for Few Zealand, Buchanan won several important events at Davies Park, his riding in handicap events being particularly thrilling. In addition to the Golden Helmet contest, there will be special handicap events on Saturday night, and a large number of riders will be taking part. M'ltb each meeting the form is Improving, and indications are that outstanding performances will be registered this week.
