Further Championships By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill. December 10. People’s day at the Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Association's summer show was marked by a continuance . of line weather which favoured the opening, and as a result there was a large and representative attendance, estimated at 11.000. The sliow was officially opened by the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. A. .1. Murdoch, who paid glowing tributes to the excellence of the stock lie had seen. The grand parade this afternoon was the elimnx to a signally successful show. Tlic following championship awards were made to-day:— Clydesdale.—Entire. Coubrougli and Hamilton (Kelso): mare, Fleming Bros. (Cookston). , ~ . Working Draughts. —Entire, .1. E. Watson and Co. (Invercargill).
Thoroughbreds.—Mare, C. McKinnon j (Ocean Beach). Trotters and Pacers.—Filly, G. Whittingham (Gore). Champion Pony.—A. R. Johnston (Waikakn Valley), Harness Horses. —W. Kennedy (Otautau). Saddle Horses. —Mrs. N. Dawson (Kennington).
