Naval Reserve Band at 2YA The band of the Wellington Division of the Koval Naval Volunteer Reserve, under the eonduetorshlp of Petty Officer Baker, will provide a programme of varied interest from 2YA this evening. The artists assisting the band will be Mrs. E. F. Hollands (soprano), Mrs. Dorothy Murray (contralto), Messrs. S. E. Rodger (baritone), Mr. Will Hancock (tenor), and Mr. V. R. Brown (flautist). A feature of the programme will be the sketches by Mr. Vryn Evans and Miss Linnie Nicho Portion of lYA’s programme this evening will be provided by the IYA Orchestral Octet, under the direction of Mr Harold Baxter. Included in their items will be a trio for flute, ’cello, and organ Eric and Jack, a popular novelty and piano duo, will be heard in several ballads and the latest hits. The Canterbury Repertory Society will provide a special programme from 3YA this evening. Two plays, both written by Sir. Allan Mulgan, of Auckland, will be acted, and Professor J. Shelley will give a reading of poems by Masefield, the Poet Laureate. Mrs. Ann Harper and Mr. J. Tennant will sing.
