ATHLETICS AT HUTT
There was a verv poor attendance at the Hutt Recreation Ground yesterday when the Lower Hutt Amateur Athletic and Cvcllng Club held an evening meeting. In some events the handicapping left much to be desired. Probably due to the fact that the Wellington Centre official handicapper (who did the handicapping), underestimated the capabilities of Hutt athletes, the local competitors carried off nearly all events. „ ~, In the cycling races Gane. although in a winning position when the straight was reached, could not finish strongly enough. The races for the women were contested by some very good runners. 'Following are the results:— 100 Yards Handicap— K. O Connell (HA 81yds., 1; W. H. Roberts (H.). <iyds.. 2; J. T.
