Distinguished Obstetrician By Telegraph—Press Association. Stratford, December 10. Dr Doris Gordon, secretary of the New 'Zealand Obstetrical Society, states that Professor Marshall Allen, Professor of Obstetrics at Melbourne University, and late Director of Maternal Mortality Research for Victoria, is coming to New Zealand as a guest of the Obstetrical Society for six weeks. Professor Allen will make an extensive tour of the Dominion and will be the guest of the Poverty Bay Division of the B.M.A. for its conference, which will commence in February. Professor Allen recently returned from Europe and America after studying obstetrics, in which science be is one of the most prominent men in the Southern Hemisphere.
