Rogers (Mayoress of Wanganui), was presented with a charming bouquet of roses, after tbe prizes bad been presented. Mesdames and Connor judged the fancy dresses. . Mrs. Phil. Miss Duncan, of Wanganui Technical College, added another triumph to a long list of the school's successes on a recent evening, when a number of old pupils of the college, under her direction, gave A. A, Milne’s delightful play, "The Romantic A-e.” Tbe parts were taken by Allb&C-O C. Stone, V. Piper, S. Soeburg, and A. Kcarse. Messrs. Mumford, It. Duvls, Broadhead. E. Sharland, and H. Whiting. Mrs, John Gibson and Miss Glbsou arc Patea visitors to Wanganui. . The Palmerston North Giris Music Chib entertained its friends at a delightful musical evening on Friday, to murk the close of the year’s act.iyitles.
