Purchase by Americans CHEAP “TREASURE HOUSE” (Red. December 1, 10 p.m.) NeW York, November 30. Doctor James Breasted, director of the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago* has disclosed the purchase of “ah archaeological treasurehouse’’ fof purposes Of exploitation, comprising the site of the ahcient city of Armageddon and the surrounding territory, for the sum of 3500 dollars from ati American widow residing in England. Aramageddon is commonly regarded as being the spot in the mountain district of Megiddo in Palestine, selected for the final destruction of the armies of Gog. It was the scene of many great battles of the past referred to in Biblical history.
