EXPERT GEOLOGISTS
Australian Reconnaissance Three expert petroleum geologists attached to the staff of the Vacuum Oil Company arrived in Wellington by the Maunganui from Sydney yesterday. They were Dr. E. Jablonski, a leading technical geologist, Mr. O. J. Bremner, of California, and Mr. N. Osborne, an Australian. During the last 12 months they have been making on behalf of their company a geological reconnaissance of practically the whole of Australia, and they are now on their way back to the United States. They intend, however, to stay for a month in New Zealand. Dr. Jablonski, who came from Poland originally, would not speak yesterday of oil prospects in Australia, the determination of which was one of the purposes of the recently completed reconnaissance. Their report would be made to their company. he said, and they had no opinions to offer.
