The pressure distribution is still rather irregular over the North Island, but an anti-cyclone is moving on to the Dominion. . Moderate to strong south-east to south-west winds, decreasing gradually veerying later to northerlies in the far south. Seas rough' about Cook Strait and rather rough south of East Cape, but decreasing gradually; elsewhere moderate In New Zealand waters. Moderate southerly winds in the Eastern Tasman Seo, veering to nortnerlies in the southern portion with smooth to moderate seas. Weather for the most part fair, but with some scattered showers, chieny ■ between Cape Palliser and East Cape; Improving generally. Gold night temperatures with some frosts.
