ROAD MAINTENANCE
The Upper Hutt Borough Council has been advised that the increase in its contribution to the Hutt Road maintenance, as a result of the new widening proposals between Thorndon and Ngahauranga, is £27/7/-, bringing its total contribution up to £431/5/-. Previously the borough’s contribution was estimated at £lOO a mile, there being just over four miles of main road in Upper Hutt Borough.
