Colonial Office Posts AUCKLANDERS APPOINTED The appointment is announced of two further New Zealanders, Air. G. G. L. AleLeod and Air. R. B. Cairns, both of Auckland, to positions in the British Colonial Service. Air. AlcLeod is a master at the Alount Albert Grammar School, and he has been assigned to a position in the Malay Education Department. Air. Cairns has accepted a position in the Customs and Alonopolies Department at Singapore. , , , The appointments have been made by the Colonial Office under a new system devised to introduce Dominion university graduates into the British Colonial Service. The Dominion appointments board met for the first time in Wellington last December and it will meet again next month. A large number of applications has been received, but the selection is carefully made and it is unlikely that many posts will be filled by New Zealand aspirants. .
