Ministerial. The Hon. E. A. Ransom, AetingPrime Minister, who is resting from his official duties, was reported yesterday to be steadily improving in health. He is at his home at Dannevirke. The Hon. H. Atmore, Minister of Education, who has spent the past week in the south, is to return to Wellington today. After visiting Christchurch he went overland to Nelson, inspecting schools en route. The Hou. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, returned from Auckland by train yesterday morning. He is to represent the Government at the Te Arolia jubilee celebrations next Tuesday. The Hon. A. J. Murdoch, Minister of Agriculture, who went to Auckland to attend the opening of the new railway station there and who has since visited the Rualtura State Farm, will return to Wellington this morning. He will leave for Nelson to-morrow evening to attend the agricultural and pastoral show there on Saturday, and he will return on Tuesday. The lion. J. B. Donald. PostmasterGeneral, will arrive from the north this morning. He has been undergoing treatment at Rotorua recently, and he is reported to be much improved in health. The Hon. W. B. Taverner, Minister of Public Works, who lias been visiting the south, will return to Wellington this morning. / Mr. and Mrs A. Donald, of Pahiatua, arc guests at the Grand Hotel. Mr. R. V. Ellerbeck, formerly wool buyer for William Haughton and Co., and Mr. Lewis Walker will shortly leave New Zealand for Durban, Natal, South Africa. Mr. and Mrs. C. Priestly, India ; Mr. S. Wall, New Plymouth: Air. S. Whitlock, Wanganui; Mr. G. Fawcett, North China ; Mr, and Mrs. W. Elliott, Dunedin; Mr. C. Drakeley. New York, are staying at the Grand Central Hotel. Messrs. D. Tennent. of Grcymouth; W. J. Butler, Hokitika; A. R. Ponder, Christchurch; S. IT. Alarris, Westport; L. E. 11. Bnigent, C. J. Bryant and W. J Bryant. Nelson; T. Reynolds and C. M. Abel, Auckland; and 11. Valder, Hamilton, arc at the Royal Oak Hotel. Messrs. V. Duff, of New Plymouth; R. O.- Lindsay. P. Hnrlc and L. B. Scolt, Christchurch; N. G. Buchanan and W. H. Brent, Dunedin; G. S. Remington, Palmerston North; A. A. Anderson, Napier; and K. Miller. Sydney, are staying at the Grand Hotel. Bishop Sadlier n few days ago stumbled and injured a foot, necessitating medical attention, telegraphs our Nelson correspondent. At the opening of the Diocesan Synod on Tuesday evening he had to remain seated while reading Ins presidential address, and yesterday be was ordered to take » complete jest.
