DANCE AT LOWER HUTT
Mrs. Vivian Riddiford gave a dance at her home at the Hutt on Tuesday evening, for her daughter. The rooms were decorated with masses of flowers, and on the supper table was a largo bowl of pink poppies. A marquee erected on the lawn served as an extra room for sitting out. Mrs. Riddiford wore a gowii of smoke grey tulle, shaded to a deeper tone and finished with marquislte ornaments. Miss Jocelyn Riddiford wore a frock of parchment satin, very long, xvith jade necklace and earrings, aud carried a posv of cream roses. Miss Pamela Riddiford wore powder blue faille inset with tulle. . Among the guests were Mrs. Dan Riddiford, red and gold brocade; Mrs, Eric Riddiford. black and rose patterned chiffon ; Dr. and Mrs. W. Hislop, Mr." and Mrs. John Duncan, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Whyte, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Foster, Mr. and Mrs. P. Brandon, Mr. and Mrs. Morton , Paterson, Mr. and Mrs. Gibson Btott, Misses Jean Leekic, Cara Johnston. Heather Mackenzie, M. Richardson, M. Shand, W. aud L. Fitzherbert. H. and M.
