Visitors from Brisbane Two riders who have figure# prominently in important events at Davies Park, Brisbane, are to compete at the Kilbirnie Stadium on Saturday night. These.’ visitors are J. Bishop and C. Anderson, both of whoip have been consistently registering times of Wei! under 80sec. for four laps. Bishop is now regarded as one of the foremost dirt-track riders in Australia, and shortly before leaving for New Zealand he won the Golden Helmet, the “Kingsford .Smith Wings,” ami the Golden Gauntlet, at successive meetings. Both he and Anderson, are reported to be fine exponents of broadsiding. ’ In view of the improved form shown by lociil riders, it is expected that some thrilling racing will take place next Saturday, When T. TOUdnson, C. Tonks, AV. B. Harvie, and others meet Bishop and Anderson. All the leading riders, including the Australians, will participate in a special invitation race under rolling start conditions, and there wifi also be the Miramar Handicap for the A grade riders, while those in tfie second division will appear in the Wellington Handicap.
